Meet The Face Behind Eastern Electrical Systems

I’m Wendy S. Nielson, the proud owner of Eastern Electrical Systems.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After spending 17 years working for a number of established electrical and security businesses, I felt the time was right to start my own enterprise.

I was surrounded by people with tremendous talent, knowledge, and experience in the electrical field, so I used them as a sounding board. They gave me the encouragement I needed to fly solo in 2007.

I started the company in my home, with six technicians and two office personnel taking care of accounting, sales, and estimating. By 2017, my firm had grown big enough to purchase a shop.

Since finishing the building renovations in April 2018, I’ve expanded my roster and now have four office staff and twenty technicians operating across three states. 

Several of my dedicated employees have been with me since inception, and watching them develop has been exciting. They’ve helped in my mission to make the world a more secure place to live.

To achieve my objective, I pay meticulous attention to detail, and I believe what sets me apart is my commitment to continued education. I’m also determined to get the job done right the first time. However, the road is not always easy.

So, it’s rewarding when all the hard work successfully comes together to bring my vision to life. It made the day that I decided to move the business from my house to the new facility a rewarding milestone in my career. 

When I’m not installing security systems, I like to unwind by boating on the Chesapeake Bay. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing experience.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
